To start off this project began lookig at some of the the activities and
spaces that would be possible for this site. Im planning on using the
first two weeks for bain storming and forming a design brief. Below is some of
the opportunities for the site that i identified.
This week i cotinued doing some site analysis and looking at potential
activities for the site.
I am still trying to get really familair with the site, and i have been spending a lot
of time trying to find existing drawings, and photos of the car park
Today i started looking at the possibility of putting an Agora into the site.
i am really interested in creating a strong public space for the
public. At the moment i don't feel that the public has any real ownership
of any space at Parliament House, and given that it is the home of
government for Australia, i think that this is wrong.
Part of my proposal will be to provide a place where the public can come
and voice there option to Parliament. This could involve debates, protests,
or key policy announcements.
